Give Someone a Foot....and it Makes a Smile

I love taking pictures of feet. Not because I have some sort of sick fetish, but sometimes a photograph of smiling faces seems way too...forced. Sometimes you remember the day because of the work boot, or the sooty foot. Sometimes it's standing on a street with a bit of rubble or trash that marks something.

I like how a certain shoe brings back a memory of the first wearing. I love how when people end up wearing similar shoes - shows some unspoken connection on how the day should turn out.

I like how when you shouldn't be somewhere, you take the foot, and only you know who that other set belonged too. Even if it means you're skipping a bit of work for a 15 minute jaunt to see a tourist site.

It's a good thing. I love it.

Give Someone a Foot.....and they take a Smile

I just got back into shooting for me, forgot what making images was like.

They didn't have to be perfect (and they weren't!) but they were my eye. What I like. What a great day to find shapes and new
treasures.

Fantastic day to find your photographic soul again. Thanks JR.

The "Artist"

The irony of my first photo blog is that the first photo is not mine. But it's probably the best photography starter...I have a regular blog so I normally won't go on blethering about what I do and who I am here, it's strictly for the images. But I figured, I'll introduce myself in case someone comes rumbling about.

I love to take pictures exactly like this - I call it "feeling them out". Sometimes you just find what you want to shoot and point and click without looking. Some of my best work comes out this way - by surprise.

So here I am. Doing what I love. Keep posted.

Good Day PhotoGeeks

I'm a PhotoGeek. I love photography. I may or may not be good at it, but I think it's a fantastic hobby -- I want shutters clicking at my own eye lid closure. I see pictures everywhere.

So here goes, thought I'd blog about it. Thought I'd share some photos. What I was thinking when I took that. Things like that.

I would like to start a formal business. Right now, I have to find time...I used to do this more often. I am getting back there again. Thought I'd document the journey.
